Australia pledges $100m to help climate

Australia will spend $100 million to support a range of environmentally friendly energy projects to slash greenhouse gas emissions, Prime Minister John Howard said. The announcement comes as the six nations attending the the Asia Pacific Partnership on Clean Development and Climate summit.
US Energy Secretary Sam Bodman said President George W Bush had agreed to contribute $69 million to the partnership in the United States budget for 2007.
